Frank picked me up around noon and headed out to hunt.
i got a 1787 Fugio cent,a late 1600's-1720's knee or small shoe buckle.
a 1830's 2 piece floraled button with a Leavenworth & Co backmark.
i think this may be a musket side plate in my hand? can anyone confirm this?
the lock i dug yesterday and soaked it overnight in CLR.came out ok i guess.

Hey that lock plate looks similar to one i found. there is a pic in one of my albums. A guy gave me a great write up about the style, but i can't find it now. But the "V" spring on yours looks like the same. He said it's a percussion cap style. The V spring snapped often.Was only produced for a few years. Pre- Cartridge, Post Flintlock! think was around 1840's production.

Great hunt Dave.... those Fugio's are big collector items. If you find one in 'good' condition it will bring big bucks. RickO
