Wink Very cool site...

I don't know if anyone has posted this before, but at least I can for the newer forum members. It provides old time aerial photos of the landscape. I have been staring at these photos for the last 2 hours. The local park I hit that used to be a produce auction, I found where it used to sit exactly. Absolutely awesome. And the farmhouse I mentioned in another post here, found that too. What an invaluable resource for poeple in this hobby...

After posting this I did not realize most of the US cant use it..Sorry about that...Its good for my area at least...

Yea..Guess I should re-phrase that. Didnt realize it was so limited for most people. "Awesome sight (for very few of us)"....

Very cool... Looked up where I used to work, before they closed the
doors and shifted operations to the sun belt and Mexico...

You mean they actually had planes back then?
Mine only goes back to 55, which isn't too bad. Would have been nice If it went back further, but then again its terrific its available at all.
I must say though the picture quality isn't that great.I think "Goose" had a better picture of the Mig 28 even though they were inverted !

Jersey Digger, thanks for the site! I grew up in Gloucester County not far from you in Glassboro. Pics of my old house site show it as an orchard/farm in 1920. That explains the old spoons I used to find digging in the backyard when I was little. Anyway, just spent about 2 hours looking at views of my local areas as far back as the 20's and 30's. Really cool and will definitely be helpful.

Go Flyers - they're beating up the Panthers as I sit and type.

Everything was an orchard way back when. Even the home I live in now was too. There is still a cherry farm across from my developement. You should join our social group for the tri state area. Just finished watchin the Flyers...They are kickin butt lately...Here is the social group...http://metaldetectingforum.com/group.php?groupid=92
