Default Need help with finding a good medal detector...

Hi,
the only medal detector is the ones you get from toysRus and it really doesn't find anything...
so i've been looking around for one that's under $100...
i found one at Heartlandamerica.com for $50
http://www.heartlandamerica.com/brow...6&BC=S&DL=SEH1
not sure if it's any good or not though...
i just want something to go around in my backyard or anywhere else i can find...
just something to play around with but i want something that works and isn't a complete peice of junk...
if the one i listed isn't any good please recomend one that's good and cheap...

- Thanks...

I'm not familiar with that one, it may be fine. It would be well for you to check out reviews by users. You may find that you would problably be more satisfied in the long run to spend a little more and getting one made by the major brands. You can get them for as little as $200. Also you can look into used detectors. You can get a good buy for a quality detector that way.

I bought a Bounty hunter Tracker IV for $119. It is pretty basic. However, in about 45 days I have found 1,500 coins worth $100, plus a bunch of nifty metal items and jewelry, and had a blast doing it. So I would very highly recommend it.

Well said Epi. Can't add anything to that. Ebay would be my choice to get a good machine at a lower cost.

What state are you in? Your soil might be a deciding factor in how "cheap" you can go.

Go to Radio Shack and see if you can get a discovery 3300! Very good machine for the $$$. Any of the Discoverys are a good starter machine.

We have a classified section on this forum. You might want to check it out, as you will get a decent machine from folks with experience. Not likely to get duped.

Welcome.
