Default Hello from Colorado

Hi to all,
Just found this site and am about to jump into the METAL DETECTING world.
I'm retired now and my wife and I enjoy railroad history. We walk old RR track beds hunting for relics. I enjoy finding spikes Hence my needs! I'd like to buy a detector. I don't think, at this stage, I need really safisticated equipment to locate there large chunks of carbon and high carbon steel.
If anyone can shed a little light on possibilities the might satisfy my needs I would greatly appreciate it.
Thanks
Roy

Welcome aboard Roy.... for the MD'ing you describe, an Ace 250 would do fine. Good luck, RickO
