Default Interesting day

So I got permission to hunt a church that was built in 1897 and was planning on hitting it around 12pm or so, after services, When I showed up there was some sort of event going on so I decided to cruise around and see what else was around. I had done some looking online and noticed a road running through a property across the river from the little town that the church was on. After doing a little research I found out that there used to be a plank road that ran across the property. As I drove by I noticed someone in the driveway working on their car. I passed by to head to the next town. After going a few miles I decided to turn around and head back to see if the owner was still outside. Drove up and asked permission to hunt the land by the river. He said to go ahead and have fun. I am now 3 for 5 for getting permission:-). Found some moderninsh clad and an odd tubular object. If anyone has any idea what it is I would appreciate a heads up. The church was wash. Found a ton of can-slaw and ONE nickel. Must be some really tight fisted Lutherans . Nice day to be out and a couple leads on locations to hunt. Happy Hunting.

Could that be the tip of an umbrella?

I don't think so. It is cross-hatched about an inch down from the back side and has letting on it, but I can't make it out. I'm going to soak it and see if I can see what is on it. It's about 2" long or so and hollow to the tip. The larger shell to the left is from a 30-30 for reference.
