Best Choice for $400-$450?

Hello!

I'm new to this, and trying to choose a detector for about $400 to $450.

In my price range I've considered the Tesoro Vaquero, Minelab X-Terra 30, Whites Classic 5 ID....

I live near the beach and also mountain trails, so I suppose I'd want manual or automatic ground balancing?

I'd go for the Vaquero as it has adjustable ground balance, and good depth. The X-Terra puts some wanted items down in the ferrous section so I would rather go to the 50 which costs more. I didn't find the Classic 5 I.D. as good as the older version. Vaquero has the lifetime warranty which is a big plus.

You should check with your local club/clubs what does work well. You could be on really funny soil where one dector will have a marked advantage over another.

you can pick up explorer xs in that price range.awesome machine,killer at the beach or a sovereign( even cheaper ) which is also a great beach machine.hh
