Default Who Dumped Their Penny Bank at the Park!

I went over to my local park yesterday for a couple of hours. I usually find some clad and the occasional wheat penny, usually don't find any silver, but it's close enough I can walk and the kids enjoy coming along.

I ventured on to the ball diamond and there were coins literally everywhere on top of the ground and just under the surface as if someone had dumped their piggy bank on the ball field.

When it was all said and done I found 203 coins (193 found on the ball diamond) for $5.98. Amongst the group were 5 wheat cents, 1938S, 1942, 1953D, 1956D, 1958D, three were on the ball field and the other two were dug elsewhere in the park.

Pennies (x158)
Nickels (x20)
Dimes (x19)
Quarters (x6)
also, 50c Mexican and 1984 Candian cent

Holy smokes that's a lot of pennies! At least it ALL adds to the coin totals at the end of the year and a penny is as good as anything else in that category!

Default penny banks everywhere

I found a place like that at a local park, so many penny's that I got tired of swinging. I think the kids just like to throw the penny's around. Same park, different time, found a handfull of quarters. looked like someone jumped over a fence, and they fell out of their pocket, maybe from a vending machine! hahaha, anyway, parks are always fun, and easy to detect in, and you never know what might pop up.

That's a ton of coinage. Maybe didn't make you too rich but definitely got your coin count totals up quite a bit.
