Default Spanish silver; 50th silver this year
Met up with fred sanford from the forum this morning at a local park that had produced some goodies in the past. After about 2 hours of being skunked we decided to call it a day. I took one more pass thru what had been a good area before and managed to score a 1755 Fernando VI Spanish reale in decent shape, save for the hole. I was a bit surprised, as I think we both thought the area was getting pretty played out. My oldest coin and also my 50th silver for the year.

Congrats on that awesome coin. I guess if you're only going to find one goodie for the day, that one should please you. I think the holed coins are kind of neat because probably someone wore it at one time. Good luck on future hunts. : )

Way to go Randy!!!! Congrats on such a great find!! That coin is absolutely amazing. Congrats on finding your 50th silver! That is one to remember.

Congrats! 50 silvers thats awesome! Persistence pays off. Who would of thought these coins would be there. Where was that hiding? Was it deep? Did you check near the older houses? 1700's ,1800's , and 1900's, maybe the well has not gone dry. That is a heck of a find. Anybody know where I can get a E-trac? I am happy for ya man. Keep it up.

In the original area. About 7 inches down when accounting for the grass.
