The ACE250 is a great machine for the money. I found a lot of stuff with mine.

The Fisher F2 with 2 coils can be bought for $215, and I also have a look at the Teknetics Delta 4000 which runs about $280.

I had a Bounty Hunter 202 it was an awesome machine for pretty cheap. I had it for over 9 years but it was recently confiscated by the Belgian Police. My buddy had the Garret 250 he loved it, it had some minor problems with depth perception but 95% of the time it was on point. I just bought the Spectra v3i from what all the reveiws are saying its a good machine.
