Hunting or fishing jacket\vest?
as far as vests check out the Bow hunters vest at cabelas. it has lots of pockets and a large pocket in the back for larger items. i have one and it works great for both MDing and Bow hunting

Default Simple

I also keep it light, as I hunt mainly parks and sports fields...

But here in Phoenix, I always freeze a water bottle and leave it in my car (which is always within site)... Spare batteries left in the car...

With me on the field:

Cellphone
Digger (the Malco Duct knife for now...)
Pin Pointer
Detector

Thats it. Trash in left pocket, goodies in right.

Also, I hunt mainly at night... and the Garrett Pinpointer with its tiny light, has suited me just fine.

i hunt very light

ace 250
ear bud head phones
ball cap
ames 7in1
a 3 pocket pouch from Appelbees ( the ones the waiters use), tyied a carabener on so i dont have to tie it, just clip and go

i put my digger in the first pocket and the rest is be hind me( trash in the rear, goods in front jeans pocket) i like putting my pouch in the rear cause it keeps everything out of my way and the digger is right on my left hip

also have a section of jeans split at the seam( bottom of leg after i made some shorts) for a drop cloth

I use my car as a storage unit. From it I can assemble pretty much everything.

Bill

PS: I've also got a Glock 35 that I sometimes take along.
