Default Needing some new spots.

So I went out around 8:00 this morning. In the 4 tot lots I went to, I found a total of $1.06. Any advice on some other spots to hit? There aren't any old churches around here and I can't get to the older homes because they are in the historical district of the town and so MD'ing isn't allowed. Any ideas?

look at different towns, old topo maps, talk to relatives (and ask if they know anyone with older houses), talk to co-workers, local historical society, and if that doesn't work...I'd move. LOL

I tried the local historical society and they are NEVER open. They don't have anyone to run it so it just stays closed lol.

Take a look at neighboring towns not too far away... it'll give you a chance to research and study a brand new area.

What about old schools and ball fields? Even newer schools for that matter. You will find tons of clad, which can fill the coffers and the possibility of jewelry from those careless teens. There have been many great finds posted here from members who hunted the soccer and baseball fields and went home with silver and gold. Good Luck. : )

I think I'll hit the ball fields and schools sometime within the next few weeks. Sounds like a plan to me!

ANY playground, I find all kinds of stuff even at new ones especially churches. Lakes or ponds with public fishing or parks, sports complexes, school yards, gravel PARKING lots especially for clad, sledding hills, and the list goes on. I did really well at a hunted out park that has a watershed lake on the back side, I guess it has been used as a sledding hill forever.
