Today I did about 10 mins of quick search at Elk Ridge park. I found pull tabs, what looks to be an bb, and a zipper.
I decided to do some research on the zipper, knowing it probably wouldn't be worth anything, but would be good practice. It said "TALON" on it so I started with that.

Apparently it's made by a company called TALON, founded in the 80's. Oh well

I do the same but the only ones that I keep track of the dates are either silver or wheat pennies or older coins. I just put 04 Memorials.

I just did a little quickie around a campfire. All junk, but I did lay eyes upon a Military Issue Camo MX911/U flashlight laying on the surface.

Hmm...
