Default There are no stupid questions, only stupid people.

I have a stupid question regarding coils. Are there any coils that can interchange between different manufacturers? Or are there any after market coil makers?

I believe I have read about after-market coils for certain detectors. I am not really an expert here. Usually they have been for higher end detectors. I haven't heard of one manufacturer's coil working on another -say a Tesoro on a Fisher.
