Default another noobie from WV

I have been interested in MDing for a while and just recently ( three days ago) got my first detector. It is a minelab exterra 505. I bought it from a fellow in Pa. He had it for two months and decided detecting was not for him. I found it on craigs list and made an offer. It was accepted. Package included the MD, pinpointer, digging tool and pouch for $450. Good deal?

Default good deal?

You didn't pay full retail. That's a plus. Have a good time with it. Good hunting.

Thanks for the welcome replys guys. I've had my 505 outside three times since I got it a few days ago,and so far I have found several nails, a few pieces of folded aluminum, one steel bolt, and several vienna sausage tins.

Default Third time out

Well, wife and I have been out three times since my last post. Barb is using our grandsons BH Discovery 1100, which BTW he received for his birthday 6 years ago and used once. Purchased from Radio Shack and still had the original Radio Shack Batteries in it. Dead of course. I'm using my recently aquired x-terra 505. We hit one of the local parks and hit a mother lode of junk, but also came out with about three dollars in clad. Why is it that she always does better than me? Aint fair. When I figure out how to download pictures and post them here I'll let you see some of what we find. May have to get our granddaughter to help.
