Talking I need help on a CAMERA!!!

Hey everyone, I have always wanted to make mding vids but all the cameras that i get just wont work very good for me. I would like to get a digital camera not camcorder because there to expensive. The camera i have works great for photos and vids but wont let me get a good focus on coins i dig. It wont show the details and wont focus in. If anyone knows of a good fair priced camera or camcorder if it is small let me know and send me the name so i could look it up. Thanks a million and HAPPY HUNTING!!!!

Have you looked at the Flip video recorders? An average digital is roughly the same price and the results are pretty good.

I'm waiting for my Kodak Playsport. Check it out on youtube. It's waterproof up to 10 ft, 1080 or 720 HD with 30 and 60 fps for $149.

I use a Nikon CoolPix L100 it has Macro, 10 Mega Wide 15x zoom. This is the camera I use to put pictures of my finds on my posts. Got it last year.

I have a cyber shot and love it! My daughter has an awesome waterproof, impact resistant, dust/sand proof, freeze proof and basically industructable. She even took underwater pics at the river. Takes great HI def video as well. There is a link to it:

I have a Konica-Minolta Dimage z10 that I love. It records vga quality video and takes great stills.

Here is what I like about it. It has an 8x optical zoom and macro abilities like nothing else. You can shoot video with both the macro and zoom. You can also zoom while shooting video and it will re-focus properly.

The drawbacks - vga shoots 15fps instead of 30fps, still acceptable though. You have to manually switch to macro before shooting in macro. It's just a push of a button. No sound recording. Voice over or a digital voice recorder works fine for me though.

These cameras usually sell for $30.00-$50.00 in online auctions. Take a look at my albums and you will see the still quality and macro quality of this camera. The IR images were taken with a different camera but everything else was with the z10.

Doug

I have used several cameras, i believe $90 - $150 could get you a decent camera with a few cool bells and whistles.

Find a few models you like and go to this site to read honest,in-depth reviews of any digital cameras...

I went to his site to see what he had to say about my Polaroid digital camera.

The newest Polaroid he has listed is from 2003.

He doesn't have my Kodak Z712IS there, either.

Vince, you're gonna get way too many good choices.

What camera are you using now? It just may have a close-up capability you haven't found yet. What you're looking for is a picture of a flower, either on the body of the camera itself, or on the screen when you can see your choices. That flower means close-up.
