Default Economy has treasure hunters hitting Treasure Coast beaches

Economy has treasure hunters hitting Treasure Coast beaches

They wore headphones and listened intently for beeps as they scanned the muddy fields of
Kiwanis-Hobart Park in Wabasso with their metal detectors. Their goal: to find sign of booty
buried below the dirt.

That was a pretty good read. I like how the state official said he feels like we're almost providing a service.

Quote:
“I personally feel they are almost providing a service,” McClarnon said. “Often these folks are also collecting pieces of metal and trash that can be harmful. And in cases where a wedding ring suddenly goes missing, it sure is nice to see someone swinging a metal detector nearby.”
I think the only thing the article is missing is the "Fill your holes" motto.

Nice post! I was there at that muddy field and let me tell you it was more like a lake that day. Still the TCAS put on a great event. I have also corresponded with Mr. McClarnon about a sheave I found on the Treasure Coast and he was very helpful in trying to identify it and gave some good tips on preservation, etc. Some good positive energy for the sport in this article. Here is a short video of Mitch, the Pres. of TCAS sending out some great PR, it is part 2 of the article. . HH.
