Default Hit "quarterback" school after a long layoff

Last time I detected it was June of last year. It has been kind, giving up 322 quarters since April 2007

Nothing great, but in about 1:20 I managed 6 more quarters (328), 14 dimes (291), 5 nickels(121) and 9 cents(277).

Most of the time I discrim out cents , hence less of them than both quarters or dimes. Some day I'll bite the bullet and see just how many of them are left out there

I doubt I can find 22 more quarters to bring the total to 350 but I'll try and should easily find 9 more dimes and heck, 23 cents. 9 more nickels, perhaps, but still finding way too many 70 style pull tabs so they still dominate that range on the Ace.

Very little silver to date - 1 silver quarter, 1 silver dime. I did find a buffalo nickel, which was a surprise as the school wasn't built until the later 1950's. Oh yeah, 7 wheat ears to date, but nothing too old, most from the 1950's (which makes sense).

**Update, had a little free time so went back just before the t-storms moved in. In 45 minutes found 8 more quarters and one cent. I was wondering why I wasn't finding dimes and noticed I had both cent and dime discrimed out. Set it to detect dime, got an immediate hit, it was the cent so back to either trash or quarters LOL.

Did find 2 buttons, one is for a ladies coat, the other has some insignia and will try and clean it up.

Went back to day to try and reach 350 on the quarters and 300 for the dimes and cents.

Ended up with 2 goals met (12 quarters to reach 352 and 9 dimes to reach 303). 4 cents short on the cents but I only searched for those a short time as I wanted to get the quarters and dimes first. Discrimed out the low end and was it nice to not have a sackfull of can slaw and nails.

Did end up with a 1953 wheat-ear (9 of them out of 296 cents dug up) and my fourth key.

I guess I'll have to go back and get 4 more stinking cents and if I really feel adventurous, try and find 7 more nickels to bring the total to 130.

$131.91 (over 3 years) so far for that school, and the school about a mile away? A stinking $12.59

Why give up at a set total or "deadline"? I'd pound that place for every ounce it is worth! And notching out pennies???? Each year I get many dollars worth of cents that contribute to that nice crisp C Note or $50 dollar bills that would not have been attained had I not dug those pennies! Good luck! HH

Don't you find a lot of change in the UK? Well... maybe not since you guys are too busy finding ancient treasures in farm fields!

Hit it for the last time this year (too many other places to check out).

This time I discrimed out quarters and up to see how many pull tabs, nickels, cents and dimes I could unearth.

Just 6 pull tabs, but can slaw was more prevalent. I may have also found a junk ring. Pretty smashed up so I have to see if I can open it a bit.

Clad-wise 10 dimes, 10 nickels (most ever in one outing there) and 14 cents. No real coin spills. Found a nickel & dime in the same hole twice and found a nickel and cent in another.
