Default Elisabeth 1 hammered silver

I know this is not realy a mind blowing find but I still think its preety special for me anyhow. Elisabeth 1 1564 silver sixpence found today in a field near my house, just needs a good clean but has plenty of detail.

I have one of those too. Mines from 1588. Unfortunately I bought mine too. I bought it in Plymoth MA. I didnt buy anything for myself on the vacation there so I went to a coin dealer shop and bought myself the coin on the way home. We stayed at Salem MA.

Nice coin.

One of those was the first hammy I found. I kicked away a lump of earth, and it was lying on the surface.

Default Totally Awesome............

That might not be mind blowing for you folks on the other side of the pond, but for peeps in the states, that is totally awesome.... The only thing that would be more mind blowing is if we actually dug one of those here

HH, Dave.........
