Thumbs up Blue sky finds, but……………

…………….a bitterly cold day with the wind-chill factor well below freezing.

Have fun.

Time for my bed.

Congrats. You guys over in the UK always seem to come up with the best stuff. We almost expect it when we see one of you post. Does a 600 year old coin even get your heart pumping any more? Keep up the great digging, we/us rebels just eat up that stuff. : )

Even though I am more than happy to find the 600+ year old coins it is the artefacts that I love to find, some of them must have quite a story to tell?

For instance, love tokens, who, where, and why?

I'm still thinking about that 2 inch "fist" you pictured
in another thread. Did you ever find out what that was?

With all your finds, you need a research team to work on
identifying and cataloging them.

Thanks again for sharing.

I do apologise I have only just seen your question on the “fist”.

No definitive ID on it I’m afraid, possible it was fastened to another item, sadly we will never know, one of life’s mysteries?

The UK forum which I belong to is backed by a very knowledgeable Finds Advisor team coupled with that the wealth of knowledge within the forum members and most times I/we will have an answer to a ID.

My next post will be a good example of the above!

Doug

Yes for the pull-tabs but thankfully very few, yesterday I had two, the biggest problem is those ointment tubes they used to use on the cows udders! They give a cracking signal.

Doug.

PS The tubes not the udders

Those older Roman coins have to be worth a small fortune. Aren't they??

Bronze Roman coins are not worth a great deal, on a certain web site you can buy them for a few cents each.

Silver ones are a bit more desirable and a bit more expensive.
