Default Bounty Hunter - Used

Hi everyone. [I]'m new to metal detecting but am very interested in starting this hobby. A fellow wants to sell a bud pro bounty hunter from about 1995. Has anyone heard of this model. He wants $250 Canadian. Is that too much for this type and age of detector. Thanks in advance of your advice.

Welcome from Kansas. Midway U.S.A.
The old Big Bud line of Bounty hunters were great machines. I still have one of the first, but like Irishrover said, you can buy a new detector with improved features for that price. They would have a warranty too.
