Default Quality headphones or quality pin pointer

Alright...I like to spend money but there has to be some equalibrium to make the better half happy,so since I just bought a new Vaquero if I were to spend 100 (ish) bucks should I get a better set of phones and opt for another centech pointer or keep with the $30 headphones and get a pro pointer? I can only choose 1...dilemas dilemas!

Hey jersey devl...I would say get the headphones.. You've got a good detector..... Those high $$$$ headphones that let you hear that whisper of a deep coin and retrieve it with that low $$ pinpointer will be perfect....Good Luck...

Deffinetly the headphones. I have a good pair i use in more open ground just because they are louder and can pick up those deep targets. But... i like the cheaper ones i have as well. I use them in trashy areas because loud sometimes wont modulate as well with a high gain.

A pinpointer is not needed with a Vaquero, they pinpoint dead on. I would try the $30.00 headphones before I spent the $$$ on another pair, headphones are over rated in my opininon. I used a set of $20.00 Radio Shack headphones for years, tried the rest & don't think any of them sounded any better. Geesh I just saved you enough money too take your Wife out to dinner .

If the headphones are a must, I agree with S30V on the Jolly Rogers. They are less $$$ than alot of headphones & sound just as good. I find them to be the most comfortable.

Also lower profile than most and only one volume knob. Who sets different levels on each side anyway? I did my homework and would opt for them again even in light of the newer higher priced JR model option. Impedance is very important and when I did my research the JR's had a favorable ohm specification.

The Killer B's are excellent. I just got a set of the wasp and i would rate them close to the Gray Ghost ultimates i had. The Sunray Gold pros are the same as the Killer B's but $2 more than the B's. It is well worth the $ for a quality set of headphones.

http://www.texaspremiumdetectors.com...ge/4731137.htm

Email Ed and ask if he has any more Factory Refurbs (comes with 22month warranty). Our 1st was $107 + s/h. The second one we got about a 10% discount on. Both are refurbs and work perfectly.
