Default Coin Shooting - Coin Hunting with no Metal Detector

I found this info while searching the web for ways to find coins while not detecting. I really never thought of this and it is so true.

There is going to be someone who is on here that does'nt own a metal detector. You too have one location that is great for finding coins and NO metal detector is needed. Do some research and find any old abandoned cars in the woods, near old barns, old abandoned junk yards, and other places.

Every old or abandoned car had seats at one time, and everyone who sat in it overtime, probably lost some change. These old cars can be like treasure sites. Of course only search vehicles that are junked and ones you have permission for, and like any metal detecting location, always be on alert for bees, wasps, snakes, and any poisonous plants you could always encounter in the woods or other outdoor areas.

Just thought I would share for you all who hunt in the woods or visit junk yards or whatever.

Definitely a good source .... others have posted about finding coins in junked cars. Also, as you warned, bees.. they love to nest in them. RickO

The first thing i will do when getting a used car to re sell is clean it up and get all the goodies out from under the seat, it has produced some intresting finds over the years

Along the same lines...don't forget to check out sofas and easychairs that have been thrown out. Expect, however, to find all manner of dropped snack foods, lost toys, and the gazillion other items that are always hiding way down under the cushions.

If you get attacked by a swarm of snacks you can swell up like a baloon, in some cases permanently.

My ex-sister inlaw was a good sized lady, she would have the kids fetch her snacks to here.

I almost stepped on a snack that had shed its skin while on a hunt.

Good thing I didn't and saw it right away. I would have had to scrape off tin foil and raisins from my shoes...gross!!
