if youre using an auto focus camera to shoot pics for us to ID, try moving farther away then zooming in rather than holding the object in question so close to the lense it cant properly focus
most cameras have a macro setting (little tulip icon) that can get you close-ups but you cant be 5 or 6 inches away sometimes you can trick auto focus (when shooting a dark or dull surfaced subject) by focusing on a bright object at same distance, hold shutter halfway down then center the frame back over the subject hope this helps somebody help you, lots of the stuff we dig up is small and hard to focus on, back off, use zoom and or macro your pics will be easier to ID |

yeah some cameras are better than others but most dont like to focus less than 1ft
|
