Default What about wireless headphones

I'm curious as to how big the sender is on these headphones. I've searched Amazon and found some good deals. But the photos provided only show the headphones themselves. Anyone have an idea how large or small the signal sender is ?

It really depends on what one you get. What a lot of help huh. The one from radioshack is small enough to fit on your detector. It is only a few inche's by a few inche's. Make sure though when you are searching that you don't get any Bluetooth one's there is to much of a delay with those and you will miss target's and not enjoy them at all. Good luck with the hunt for the wireless thing.

This subject has come up 100's of times over the years on the various treasure forums. Usually those who try wireless soon return to regular wired phones.

I looked into it myself but never actually did it. It just seemed to me the phones were cheaply made and the added trouble of batteries for the phones and transmitter just made it all more negative.

I bought a pair from radio shack, they worked fine but they were the behind the ear kind,

after a while I started not to like them, then I got worried about the built in recheargable

batteries dying prematurely and stopped using them.

Thumbs up Wireless Headphone Reasoning

Hello All..... It just seems to me that there is a value to using wireless headphones. All of us have stepped on the headphone cord, got the cord caught in the Multifloral Rose (thorney bush in the USA midwest) and a million other functional screwups using cord attachments. I can also understand the folks that are from the old school and have a procedure and equipment that works fine for their needs. But something is telling me that the wireless headphones are a product of the future in this industry. The only ones that I have any information on is the Radio Shack which is certaintly not over negative. Even the coiled wire headphones are heavy but do deliver excellent performance. My belief is that wireless headphones will be as common as coil protectors within five years. With that in mind, I would really like to take a serious look at what is available in the marketplace right now and begin the learning curve with what is now available. Those of us that are wishing, praying, hoping and sometimes jumping off cliffs waiting for unfrozen earth to thaw are at the time of year when new toys in the metal detecting corner of the basement deserve some upgrades. This is one I am considering. I (we) all would like those of you experienced wireless headphone users to take a minute and explain your feelings, both pro and con. Any salesman will tell you almost anything. unfortunate as that is, but users rarly embellish and are usually more critical than most. The leading player now is the wireless headphones on the V and I hear they are super. Others canīt be far behind. Any experiences that folks out there could share to help guide this newbie...

my wireless headphones and sending unit should arrive today.
Go to the walmart web site and type in wireless headphones and you can check them out.
20.00 for everything and they have recieved very good reviews from users on another treasure hunting forum.
I am sure they will be fine for my casual, park and tot lot hunting areas but will let you know after I get a few hunts under my belt..
