Default Need places to hunt in Florida

I am from Michigan & I am going to Florida right after Christmas & I am bring my detector. I will be staying close to Lake Istokpoga for a week & around the Lakeland area for a week. Does anyone know of any good places for metal detecting around those areas that you could suggest? Thanks

Hay Dogg,

Do you have a car GPS receiver?

If not, maybe it would be a wise
investment. You can find your way
around Florida.

You can ask it to take you to near
by beaches, parks, schools and all
kinds of places. You won't be runin
all over the place trying to find some
thing and it is easy to find your way
back.

If you get one, try to get one with
5,000,000 points of interest, or more.

3,000,000 points will work, but is may
be sketchy in areas.

Without a Computer or GPS ?

I use a Telephone Book, good info.
History, Parks, Schools, and Events.

Those Visitor Centers have nice Maps.
Real friendly helpful people too.
