Default 1944 D over S??

Ok i was going through my wheats last night and came across this one. Its pretty corroded and a little easier to see in person but give me yall opinions. Does this look like a D over S to you or no. Any opinions or suggestions are welcome Thanks

All I can make out is the 1944. But I think D over S was 49 and 55. No expert by any means... Hope it is though!

Redbook has the 44 D over S also but i think this coin is just too far gone to tell but thanks guys
