Default A WOW of a brooch?

Or would have been had I found it complete.

Complete example of similar for reference only.

Have fun, and thanks for looking.

Simon,

I still do not find them complete, pins seem to rot/rust away?

None of these have the pins!

great find doug and the others are great well done i suppose the reason you find them is the pin has broken off and its fell to the floor hence no pins

Three reasons I can think of, no doubt there are more.

Pin is maybe iron so rusts away.

Pin breaks so they throw the brooch away.

Deliberately broken and offered to the gods.

Doug
