Default How about Half Dollars

Like the silver dollar thread that is growing (and has some fantastic pics); how about your best half dollar finds? So far, I only have a few Kennedy halves, but then again, what should I expect from working the sand and wood chips and not hitting the old parks (yet!)? I

If you have some great Walking Liberty or Barber or Franklin finds....share if you have the time....apparently I have extra time considering that it's about to start snowing again...

Default A dug half and a coinstar find

Found the walker in July at a "hunted out" park. Found the Kennedy in the reject tray of a coinstar.

What happended to this country, our coins used to be so wonderful, and now they are just do ugly. I bet if coins today looked like they used to we wouldn't be in the ression we are in now. I know I would love to have coins like that in my pocket. Nice coins guys, I hope that I can add to this post one day. Maybe today, I just got my ace250 and have to try it out on something. Nothing better than a new detector and finding a nice half dollar with it.

I have only found 4 so far. 3 came from house yards, and 1 came from an apartment yard. I don't even think I've found more than a dime in any public location.

How'd you come across that New Foundland 50 cent piece in your avatar? That's a neat coin!
