Default Lost class ring returned

I just wanted to throw in my experience with a returned clas ring a few years ago. I was on a trail alongside a large lake detecting and heard a load beep and there it was near the top.A large class ring, luckily it had initials on the inside. So when I got home I called the school and explained the situation to the secretary and I think she thought I was a little crazy by the way she sounded. Anyway I gave her the initials and the year and my phone number so I could return it. I was going to go to the school but after she acted weird about it I gave phone number instead.Later that day the boy called me and I told hime where I found it and how.And asked if he would like to meet me so I could give it to him.The next day we met at the site and I gave it to him. He didnt react the way I thought he would but then again he was a guy with some of his friends. Which didnt really bother me since I felt great about it.Its hard to explain the feeling! He told me his girlfriend lost it while they were walking about a year earlier. He did thank me and we were on our way.

Glad you went out of your way to find the owner, it is a great feeling and the right thing to do.
