Default A few finds from yesterday and today.

I took The E-Trac and 6x8 SEF coil to the local park. I was there an hour and never got over 50ft from the car. It's hard to believe these two IH pennies were less than 25ft apart. The IH on the right is co nasty I can only make out "18**" on the date.

Went back this evening and tried an area adjacent to where I found the IHs. I hunted there a good while and only found clad. Before I left for home I went back to the area I got the IHs and made one pass up and back. I was heading for the car when I got a deep good signal. Dug down 6in and didn't get a peep from my pinpointer. After cranking up the pinpointer I got a faint signal. Finally with my digger(10in long) completely in the hole I spied a green disc in the bottom. This has to be one of the deepest good targets I've ever dug. At first I thought I'd found a large cent but when I took it out of the hole I saw it was too big in diameter and too thin. Without my glasses I couldn't make out any detail so I left for home thinking I had a Canadian large penny or token. Cleaning the disc at home I found out I had a token dated 1908 that was from a local business in Union City.

Thumbs up Good hunt

Congrats on some nice coins. Too bad people have to put holes in them That 1868 Indian is a nice date. The token is real nice. That would be my best find of the day!!! Very collectable. Not too often do you pop a political or store token these days. Yep, that E Trac can go real deep, but it's best advantage is the separation of targets, from surface to 6 or 7" down. It's amazing that people missed them Indians. But that's where the E Trac shines. Nice digs!!

Wow those are some nice finds, holes and all.. You did great! The E-Trac does very well at those deep coins. I'm still looking for a deal on one..

[QUOTE=RIP;386577]Very nice. Congrats, so you going back today?[/QUOTE

I hope I find another site to hunt. The park is where I hunt when I don't have anyplace else to go. The bean fields aren't getting harvested because of the recent rain so it has put a crimp in my home site hunting. There are several home sites in the bean field behind my home all dating before 1874. Those are the kinds of places I really like to hunt.
