5 of 6 machines down....I thought I had it bad.

I seem to be destroying my coils. My big imaging coil on my 2500 went down for the count last week. One of my Ace 250 stock coils died last year...the stock coil on my other Ace is starting to get funky....I predict its death is coming shortly.

I travel by bicycle so my gear is always bagged up and being assembled and reassembled which cant be helping. I hunt a lot to boot.

I am not sure if its related to wear on the coils or the wiring.

Time to buy coil covers?

Leslie. I had a 1280 x for some time just sold it & bought a pi. iT'S a good detector , It talks a little in the salt water so you have to lower the sens. a bit , but otherwise works good . It's very hot in the fresh water , you can run it wide open. It's 2.4 Htz, can be hip mounted. I have found abit of gold with it. Pound 4 Pound I say its GOOD for salt & fresh. iT'S not a excal, or BHID , or the cz20, But it will hold it's own
