Default I Got The Ugliest Knife I Ever Saw Water Hunting Today

<center>

Loaded up the J-E Detector Mobile with some machines and headed out early this morning. I hit a local lake with high hopes of lots of rings, blings & things. Well, I got lots of loot, bottle caps and half a dozen pull tabs. Where are the rings? There just weren't any to be found today. Each hunt is unique, full of surprises and sometimes a dud. I spent most of the morning dressed with my chest waders and AT3, cherry picking the good signals. I then put on the wetsuit, and hunted the deeper water, and all I got was more coins and bottle caps. At supper time, I changed into my land clothes and hunted with my GTI 2500 on the surrounding grass. I did manage a 1955 wheat cent.

And go figure......the only two people who happened to drop by, one a farmer & the other a local contractor, both owned a metal detector, and it happened to be a Garrett. Too funny.

Below are my finds, including a real ugly knife......

I think the knife is pretty cool looking Definitely stranger than any I've seen but neat just the same. Good job on the hunt!

Talking Do I need a few more detectors?

Well a bad day out is better than a good day inside. I don’t mind the knife, should clean up well. On a side note this might be a silly question but can I ask why take out all 4 detectors, I can understand one water and one land unit, I have a Excalibur 1000 and Minelab SE, I take these both to the beach, but am I missing some potential finds by not having a bigger selection of detectors in the field? I like the idea of having a few more detectors to chose from?

Mike

Yeah I would have to say that is one ugly knife! Looks like it even has a built in bottle opener on the top part of the blade that is a bonus!

Obviously, you are dissapointed with your find. I would respectfully suggest you send it to me...for proper disposal of course!
