McFarland, Madison basically. Joined March of this year but was looking things over since last winter. Been doing good just around town. Got my 2nd silver ring today and my second silver ear ring although its pretty small. Have nothing of value or significance from anywhere other than the immediate Madison area.

One thing that frustrated myself and my friend. We stopped in at Lake View community park one day and to our vision someone had worked it lightly. Only bad thing is this individual LEFT HIS TRASH IN THE HOLES. I mean, C'mon man. You dig only 1" down looking for a nickel and find foil and LEAVE IT???? How smart is that for your next time there. You think you're gonna remember every spot you left trash??? If you dig it, TAKE it and throw it away. Save yourself the effort for your next trip to not dig that same item. Oh, you left LOTS of clad and such all around the lake too. LOL We took about $6 between us from all the stuff you missed, Yeah, you worked that area cause we saw all your "Flaps". Decent flaps, Clean flaps. Just take your trash with you next time ok?

That being said. Having a good year so far. Looking to possibly hook up with someone up in the U.P. of Michigan. Specifically, the Keweenaw peninsula area. Would love to scan some old wagon trails or camp locations.

Thanks Milco,
Just let me know when you'd like to go out. Or anyone else in the Milwaukee area
for that matter I've always hunted alone so this would be new for me.
I have virgin older houses available to me because of my job.

Fairly new to the forum and new to detecting. I'm in Pewaukee and my dad is in the Dousman area. I originally joined to get some info on a pin he found (he's new to this too and doesn't know how to use a pc), but now I find myself becoming interested in getting a MD. Already scoping out some entry level ones on some online sites (and watching the classifieds here like a hawk). I just might have to pull the trigger soon! Only disappointing thing is the law in WI, doesn't leave many areas unless they're private land...Anyway, just thought I'd introduce myself to the Wisco forum.
