Default Coin caches inside the house - Part 1

Earlier, I had detected the grounds at this estate house I'm helping dispose of and found nothing. Now, inside, a few coin caches have been located.

Sorry to be a bearer of bad news, but only nickels dated 1942*-1945 are silver.

*In 1942 production of regular nickels was halted and the silver composition was started, so, only some of the 1942 nickels are silver. War time silver nickels are easily identified though, by their large distingctive mintmarks P, D, and S located above the dome of Monticello. HH

Also, some of your Kennedy Halves are 40% silver... 1965 through 1970.

Awesome!

I forgot to congratulate you on the discovery!! Congratulations!

P.S. looks like the nickel second from the left in the top row is a war nickel! Good luck!

Yeah, I was wondering that too. Where do people hide them in houses normally.
