Default Not seen with naked eye

Some silver & gold items have legit stamps but are either very small, worn down, or kinda hidden. The bracelet I dug this morning had a stamp but neither my wife nor I could see it with the naked eye. But it looked like silver so I got the 12 power magnifier out and there it was.

While not completely legible - anything that says "Mexico" is silver. As I posted, I tested it also with my acid kit.
I have gotten into the habit of checking almost all the jewelry that I dig with a magnifier. Don't let the goodies pass by you, Steve in so az

Good post Steve! Here's my example... a gold bracelet I almost missed as the stamp is tiny and not where I'd think to look.

Nice finds... we need to check everything closely... old stuff, that is really old, may not be marked at all... RickO
