Permission Granted To Hunt Old Fairground

Well we just got permission from the Treasurer of our local Fairgrounds to hunt it.The Treasurer knows us real well, so I didn't think she would have had a problem.Now for the whole main part of asking permission. The grounds are well-over 100 Years old, So I would be guessing there might be ALOT of Wheaties in there and maybe some Mercs. It is alot of ground to cover but It will give toehead, bmc94, and I a prime location for us to hunt for quite some time. I really don't think anyone has ever hunted the Fairgrounds before, so we might pick up some old goodies and hundreds of coins. We might just head there during this week. Didn't really see any old photos or any recent good sized ones to share with you people. I have my Fingers Crossed for this one!!

You may be correct, but fair grounds and carnival grounds are the most hunted spots by detectorists. Unless it was gated and guarded, you can bet it has been hunted. But their should still be some great coins there. Go three steps off the beaten path if the obvious sights don,t turn up a lot. If it has never been hunted, your in for an adventure in digging.
