Default First silver Rosie

Howdy folks! it's been a long time since i been on here.Anyway i was at an old school for a couple of hours about a week ago. When i got there a couple of guys from the electric co. was sitting in the parking lot eating their lunch and i ask them if they knew anything about the old school and where the playground used to be.one man pointed me in the direction of where the monkey bars and swings used too be and said he graduated from there back in the early 40's,so it's got potential for more silver. This is my first dime,it's just a 59 d but it was a real thrill. To be cooped up all winter, then when it finally gets warm enough to get out stuff comes up to still keep me from going digg'un and then to find some silver on my 2nd time out for the year .
I also found a nice old button my first outing and a few wheats(1937,1944 and a 1946,no mint marks on any but the 46 looks like it might have a d )the old button is posted on the "help to id my find's" forum.Got an eagle,2 piece and flat,i think it's WW1.Sorry this is so long guys,i get started it's hard to stop but i did want to let you all know whats going on in my neck of tha woods...HH all...Bobby

That's a good looking Rosie you got there Headhunter. Sounds like this place has a lot of potential. Good luck on future hunts there.

Congratulations Headhunter!! It is hard not to get excited about starting out the hunting year with silver, even if it isn't that old. Hope you get a chance to go back and get some more. Good luck!!

That is not only my first silver of the year that is my very first silver dime. The only other silver i have found and it's actually kinda hard to believe being my VERY first was a 1921 Morgan Dollar(my avatar),but i found it where folks have had flea markets over the years and i believe a coin vendor might have lost it because it wasn't but about 3 inches deep. This dime on the other hand was about 5-6 and on a playground,i'd say it was lost by someone back in that era.So cool beans!!!I'm probably more proud of it than the morgan Thanks for the compliments everybody.
