I have been doing research and have found multiple houses and churches that I would like to hunt their yards. Being new to the hobby, I am not sure what to say to the owners to get them to let me hunt their yards. How should I approach them? What info should I provide them? Do I provide a form or letter for them to sign? If so, what should the document contain? I am sure I am missing something. So, please add if needed.

You can always go up and introduce yourself and tell them what you would like to do. Alot of times the answer will be no, because of liability issues. Also...check some treasure hunting books. They sometimes have some sort of generic form you could copy and use or Google it. Hope this helps you.

If you have a pc, do a Google search.....type in "Treasure hunting permit"
