80 Coin Day..the "Real Finds" Were Yesterday

Hunted 3 park tot lots this A.M. and came away with 80 coins; all pennies & clad..but Thur. was the unusual day...was out on my daily walk and doing some "asphalt coin shooting" without the detector...came across a 14k bracelet in the parking lot down from Subway...I decided to walk over to the high school parking lot and see what the kids had dropped..11 coins and an 18k ring ! first 18k anything I've ever found and I've been detecting for 25 years..I say 18k ; actually , it's stamped .7500, but sure looks like gold to me and I'm assuming that's how some makers are stamping 18k these days...the stone is missing and there's a pin or post in the center of where a stone would be...a friend suggested it might have been some kind of initial ring, like maybe an initial on black onyx...at least I won't go crazy wondering if it was a diamond..no way a diamond could be mounted on a pin...I plan to go back this weekend and spend a few minutes looking for the stone or whatever; but there's a lot of broken glass and other trash in the lot, so chances aren't good...anywho, 14 months since the last gold ring, so I'll definitely take this one, even without a stone...I've found a little asphalt gold before, but this is my first 2 in 1 day...sorry about no picture, but no camera at this time...HH....Roadrunner
