Default Cold Weather But Digging Silver Stays Hot

This is going to be a busy report and a bit long in bragging. Lots of pictures of a lot of rewards. In the last 8 days I got out for six hunts. The Six continued the Silver Dime Streak to reach the number of 49 before a Silver Washington ended it. Any way all 6 hunts added at least one Silver Coin to the coffers. The first hunt was at the school that I hunted before selling my fur last week. It produced 4 Silver Dimes along with a neat American Legion Convention Fob from 1938. The 2nd hunt I went back to the ballfield that had produced a lot of fall Silver for Monster and me. Well Signals were scarce but did find 2 more Silver Dimes in over 4 hours on the site. That made the total Silver coins taken from there was 65, simply an amazing location for sure. The third hunt I went back to the park where I dug the old Sterling ring in the last report. Managed one Rosie for that outing. Thanksgiving day I went back to the school and again this site produced very well. After digging 3 Silver Dimes I got the coil over the Silver GW that ended the streak of Dimes. After that I got the coil over a older Sterling Signet Ring and then added a last Silver Dime giving me a 6 Silver day. Friday we had a great group outing that between 5 of us Cheeseheads 27 Silver items were rescued from the grounds. My finds was 9 Silver coins with 6 Merc's, 2 Rosie's and a Washington. Yesterday I again went back to that school. Conditions were not the best with bitter winds and very cold rains, still the Coil remained very hot as I added 2 more Silver Dimes and a sandwiched pair of Washington's to the take. I took the camera along on the hunts except yesterday and the pictures are in order of the hunts. A few of the pictures were bad and cut and a couple of coins I forgot to use the camera on but still this report is picture happy. The total of 25 Silver coins from these outings now has the FTY count at 254. Going to try another hunt after this report is finished. Hope the coil stays hot for me and pray for another warm up. Until the next. Trapper

Big congrats Trapper! It seems like we were just talking about whether or not you would reach 200 and now you're at 250! And at this busy time for the year for you also! Nice work!

Congrats on the great finds Trapper. Most of us can only dream of 250 silvers in a year. The pictures are fun to see. Nice to get a little vicarious pleasure from the in-situ shots and also a bit of extra motivation. HH.

Thanks Mike for the reply. I hope your can get on the Silver very soon. Your sites sound like you have the opportunities. Been hunting pretty hard with the last 5 sites being outstanding for me. just need the weather to give us some more warmth. Trapper

Appreciate your reply Anthony, thank you. This last two months have been more than I ever expected. Seems I just can't do anything wrong at this time. The CTX has been on fire for me. Trapper

Thank you Jerry. somehow with just the month of December in front of me I think that 300 will be impossible. But I thought getting to 200 0r 250 wasn't going to happen either. Just did not foresee the great digging I have had. Trapper

Record for most pics in a thread has been broken. Congrats!
Glad you found success this weekend Trap, the weather was just terrible, in case you didnít notice. I can deal with cold as long as the ground still digs. To have 33 degrees, rain/sleet AND a 30 mph wind to drive it right into every orifice...not cool. Once your stuff gets WET, the temp+wind will get you. You probably know this though...it sucked. I barfed a couple dimes but nothing worth reporting. Iíll be starting a thread on detecting CINDERS though...and that may take us places in the spring.
This late season run has been great, next weekend might be a go as well! Itís great to see the silver in its natural habitat...nice work with the pics. Next up...the GoPro!

Wow! You and that CTX really have been running hot lately! Very cool looking fob there. The old signet ring and the GW sandwich had to be some fun digs! Hopefully you get some warm enough temps to keep some sites open for you for a while.

Youíre finishing this year super hot even those your weather is cold. Just amazing you his the 250 mark this year and if your weather holds you might just get to 300. That fob is awesome, I like finding those things sometimes more than silver. Congrats on the finds!

Your kind comments are appreciated, thank you. I think all the pictures were a bit of overkill but since I took them I had to share them.. My last two outings because the weather was not being friendly I left the camera at home. Would have liked getting the Quarter sandwich shot in the dirt pile. Trapper

Thank you Tom. While the counts this year are not as high for us this year compared to last. I think this year has been just so much more rewarding. Seeing the shine of Silver in the hole just never gets old. Trapper

25 silvers in just 6 hunts is phenomenal, thats a half year or better take for most. Attaboy Trapper you definitely have great silver streak going. Keep it up. God bless. If you don't hit 300 this year I'll bet it will be close. The ring is pretty sweet also. Good luck. Mark
