Default 2/21/09 A few buttons and large cent?

Got out for a little while in the usual spot. Finally got a chance to resize the pics First pic is of the buttons, a big flat one and some smaller ones, one says something Gilt Colour.

Second pic is of the coin (I think it's a coin haha)....nothing is visible on it at all, just the way it goes for me

Default nice!

not a big fan of the olive oil treatment here.may work in some cases but in your case i think that coin is wiped out whatever it was.try one of those fine bristled brass brushes and some liquid dish soap.i see no details whatsoever so,unless anyone disagrees i say lightly scrub it with the brush.it's not worth much in that condition the brush may bring out some details to identify what is is or was.
first try just a regualr toothbrush and saop, then upgrade to brass if the reg brush don't work.
nice old finds!!!!!!!!

Nice work on the buttons and possible large cent! Hope you are able to read or see something on the coin after you work on it!
