Default HOT! Lake Hunting Today, River Gold High Banking Yesterday To Stay Cool.....

Man.....it is HOT! I spent 6 hours in the water non-stop to stay cool today. Got some coins, junk, a working Bic lighter and a couple of earrings.

Here are the earrings all cleaned up.

This gold is from yesterday. The concentrates from the sluice get put through a kitchen strainer, then on my micro sluice (1/8" - V matting 4" x 30") which catches about 95% of the flour gold along with some black iron oxides. I then back pan these, to get rid of the remaining black oxides, then suck up the flour gold in my Garrett snuffer bottle.

Nice hunt to stay cool. How much gold did you find there? Hard to tell by the pic...

Love the look of gold in the pan. Looks like you had a lot of fun John and got some exercise too!

Probably a lot less then the picture suggests. I haven't weighed it yet. I am going to weigh it at the end of the season. Probably much less then a gram though.
