Smile Almost a bracelet

Forgot to mention that, during today's hunt, I almost found a bracelet. You can imagine, it almost drove me crazy chasing the targets. The little round pieces are conductive and gave a strong signal. Every time I dug one and went back over the hole, more showed up. Each of the metal pieces measure 5/16". I finally gave up.

This is as good as they get. I can't even figure out what the pieces are made of. They are non magnetic, but totally black. The detector picked them up in coin mode. Any ideas?
