I've had three other hunts this season,
as spring is slowly returning to the area.
Gaining a little more digable depth each day,
temps have been in the upper 40s for the last few days.
Ive been looking at an older (1930s) house, all winter long.
The house is vacant and sits on a large lot.
I'm not sure if there wasn't two other homes on the large lot?
But their is certainly room for two.
Not knowing who owned the property
I ask a couple of local birds down at the gas station
& found the phone number that I needed!
Permission was granted,
My first target a 5" deep, reading a 12/47
1902 Barber quarter !
The next few targets other than mistakable junk , where zinc pennies.
I found a 1917 wheat, and a 1915 buffalo.
I got a late start on the day, and that I had to drive some 35 miles to get there, and had run out if daylight.
I think I'll be going back early on Sunday.

How Cool is that! The perfect way to gain access and make some sweet finds! Go talk to those old birds and ask if they know of anyplace else you can hunt! Wonderful post!

Never been much of a coin hunter but seeing pics like that has had me thinking about all the old copper and gold mines in my area that there has to be a bunch of silver and hopefully gold coins buried around the camps . I guess i might have to order another machine. Been looking at the At Max . Nice finds thanks for posting

Nice finds. Looking forward to the update.

Went back to the same site,
only found a few more early year Wheaties , and some clad.
spotty digging areas, that frost is still hanging on.
The deeper tones where to hard to dig for
