Don't feel bad... I have searched many, many, rolls of halves and NEVER found a silver or even a 40% silver (65-69). Some people find stuff all the time, others, read that 'me', find nothing. RickO

Default Coin Rolling!

Stick with the half dollars for silver and pennies for copper. As many of you collect wheaties and indians, in the VERY near future, MANY will be collecting 1982 and prior pennies for their copper content.

Keep searching.... I'll find usually 2-3 Wheat pennies per $10 (20 rolls). I've never gotten silver dimes or quarters from the bank, only in change. I do ok on 40% silver halves- I'll usually find 1-2 per $200 searched. This weekend I had $150 in halves and not a single silver. As soon as I got them home I knew they were bad rolls because someone noted on them that they were 1971-D through 1977-D, "Clad Starter Set" and other dissapointing notes.

I love coin roll hunting... i went through $2500 two days ago....
$1750-halves
$500-dimes
$200-nickles
$50-pennies
I got 2 40% silver halves and 3 silver dimes, nickles had nothing and i got 16 wheats one was 1918
best crhunting finds ever are 1893 columbus half, 14 indians 9 v nickles 50+ buffalos and 15 mercury dimes... Ive gotten 9 lbs of silver so far in a little over 1 year... try to get a good relationship with the tellers at your bank, I know every one by name at two different banks, and i ask to look at the edge of all there rolls at the bank of qauters and dimes mostly... ive gotten 4 silver quarters and 30-40 silver dimes that way

GOOD LUCK!!!
