Default Rescued from the dumpster

My brother inlaw rescued a
Garrett GTA 350 from a trash dumpster.
He doesn't detect, but gave it to me.
I brought it home tonight, put it together,
Oh someone left the batteries in it, corroded and cracked battery clips,
I cleaned the insides, and replaced the clips with my spare, AT Pro clips,
It fired right up!

Good brother inlaw for sure. Looks pretty good.

It never surprises me what people throw away, years ago found a bag of costume jewelry near our dumpster.....you guessed there was some real gold in the bag, one year found small amount of money in a envelope in trash.
People are dumb sters

I'm guessing the battery holders are what you're calling "clips"?

If so, here's a place to get them cheaper than anywhere else I've found.

I work janitorial with my dad sometimes and they threw out the lost and found at the end of the month a couple months ago. Among the many things found was pocket change, a working walkie talky set, and a sterling silver cross.
