Default Braved the cold again - 3rd Merc

Temperature still holding around 32 degrees and 89% humidity. Decided to hit the old school that is being demolished built in 1888. This is the "hunted out" school that continues to give up Wheaties and silver dimes. I found three more Wheaties before finding this nice 1940-S Merc. This is my third one ever, and second one for the year. My Wheaties to silver ratio is now down to 8:1. I chatted with a new MD'er that strolled over to make a friend and do some quick hunting. I would like to welcome BigJohn070 to the FMDF. I told him to sign up and drop me a line. He is excited to start MD'ing her in the Boise area. Total hunt time was about four hours. I will continue to hit this school until they tear it down in the spring and have to put up a fence.

Nice hunt! Hope your weather holds! looks like you need to hit that place as often as possible before they get started. Are they going to build something on that spot? If so, you'll want to hit it when they grade the top soil away and try for deeper targets ... and if possible hit the soil they remove before they haul it away.

Yeah. supposedly, they are turning over for private housing. There is also some blacktop right next to the school that I am dying to hunt when they tear it up. can't wait!!!

Nice digs. cool Merc. 8:1 seems pretty impressive to me. Good luck.
