Default Anyone in South Carolina ?

Yossi,

I told you a few places in Conway we can hit. It was first settled in the late 1600s. I'm super busy with work this week but you never know what will happen. I'll give you a call if I get a chance to hunt this week.

Anyone else out there?

I get over that way from time to time. I'm currently located in Charlotte, NC not too far away from your location. Send me a PM with contact info if you can.

Hey bigb,

If you ever make it to Myrtle Beach give me a call 843-699-5215. I have a few good spots that haven't really been all that great because of the amount of trash I'm dealing with. I know of a few spots on the beach that have a lot of history, we just need a nice big storm to toss things up. After Feb 1 there's a place I want to hunt on the other side of Georgetown that was founded in 1717. After next week things slow down for me a bit and I'll have more time to hunt. Do you have any good spots in Florence. I know Florence has some history too.
Call me,
Christian

Did you say Beaufort? Wow you live in a nice area! I was looking at satellite shots of the area and you can see all kinds of old roads runnung through the woods. I know someone that found some cannonballs on their property a few years back. They live on a river and found them in the river's bank. If I ever make it down that way I'll get in touch with you. If you can make it up this way PM me or Yossi and we'll do some hunting.
Good luck
Christian

I may be going to Garden City Beach this summer for vacation... My parents may be looking for a place to relocate in the Carolinas and will probably be going with us. They'd like us to move with them if they decide to move, but I'm not sure about the SC education system. I'm leaning more toward the NC system. I'm going to have to do more research on good counties and districts first.

Garden City is really nice with [I]lots[I] of people on the beach in the summer.

That would be really cool to have another board member in the area.
SC does have a poor school system in general but if you live in Horry county, You're lucky. Many of the schools in this county are nationally recognized for there academic achievements.
Watch out for NC, it's not much better than SC when it comes to schools. You have to find the right area to have a school that stands out in the state.

Good luck and let us know when you make it down.

I visit Florence, SC, once a week on Monday and lay in a hotel from sun-up to sundown. I have a layover because I work on the railroad, but live in JACKSONVILLE/ SAINT AUGUSTINE, FL. I'm new to this hobby and would like to find someone who could give me a friendly start on what I'm doing right or wrong. I have a MP3 10inch coil that I bought from KellyCo about a year ago. I'd like to go hit some old abandon railroad sites and get an honest appraisal about what I need to learn and have some fun also. Would enjoy hearing from others around JAX and ST AUG also. Thanks!

I so wish I was back in California right now!
I can't even get out detecting it has been so wet for weeks and weeks, and now we have snow.

What's the weather in Carolina like now?
