12/27 Bean Field Hunt

Got a call from David (Night Hawk) about heading to the bean Fields. You just know I couldn't pass it up after yesterdays four IH Pennies. Beautiful day and the beach hunters were out in full. Had another successful day. Another four IH pennies. 1890, 1903,1904 and 1907. Some were not as good of a condition, but I will take them and be grateful. Found a neat brass bangle of some kind and David found it's mate a little while later. Whatever they are they are identical and they weren't that close together. Sure is great hunting with others and sharing the fun. You just know I have to do it again tomorrow, while the weather is nice.

Wow, you did it again! Good looking Indians and that Bean field is turning into a nice little honey spot. Good luck with the Silver it should be there somewhere..

i only had 2 hours, so i opted for the button patch - many shotgun shells, but did manage one more of those navy buttons 1820/30 era

Word has gotten out about the old coins and everyone seems to want to find some before the houses are built over the land and they will be gone forever. With over 400 acres to hunt there is no problem with overcrowding.

I can't believe that I have found eight IH Pennies in two days. I don't remember ever finding that many in such a short time. It sure does make you want to keep coming back for more. I am determined to find silver on one of these trips.

what use to be on this piece of land? if they are building houses there that means they will most likely be scraping the ground...be like hunting virgin land when they do that.
