So I didn't plan on getting out today after I woke up with a very bad back ache , after laying in bed I thought I could swing in the shade at the local park for a bit. I found four wheat there and decided to go ahead and pack up and head toward home. I grabbed a bite to eat and on my way home I decided to stop at the local Creek. I've never hunted it but have heard rumors of old coins being found there. I went a couple hundred yards up the creek and only found junk, so I turned around and headed back. I got a high tone and scooped up what I thought looked like a quarter , I couldn't believe my eyes after I looked at it closer. 1807 half cent ! WTH?! So I left and went home and decided I should go back again in the evening. I got pretty lucky and found an 1892 plain Barber dime. Man , it's so awesome I never thought I'd find a draped anything. ....

My very first old copper was an 1809 half cent. I thought I had found my first LC. I didn't know they made half cents and didn't know I had one till I rinsed off the back hours later. Great find ! Congrats !

Congratulations on finding those "oldies".:D Should help your back feel better. Would sure give that location more attention !!

Nice coin J.

These old watering holes can have some good stuff around them.

There is no telling is this spot was a great place to cool off 150-200 years ago.

Keep hitting it until there are no more signals.

Jbrow with the big score ! And to think you were not even goi g to get out of bed this morning 😎.
I would be bouncing off the walls all week.
